History of the Altes Tramdepot (Old Tram Depot)
The Old Tram Depot was built in 1889/90 for a tramway connecting the Bear Pits and the local cemetery.
The location was later used as a garage and between 1971 and 1982 as a theatre storage facility.
It was converted into the Restaurant in 1998. Also on the same site today - a tourist information desk, the Bern Show (audiovisual presentation) and a small souvenir shop.
